“Dads Like Us: A Survival Guide for Fathers Raising a Child with Disabilities,”

Local author Steve Harris of Lanesboro will be sharing his new book, “Dads Like Us: A Survival Guide for Fathers Raising a Child with Disabilities,” on Tuesday, April 30, at 6 pm in the Fireplace Room. His two sons, Matthew and Andrew, were diagnosed at an early age with a rare, debilitating, and incurable neurological condition called Pelizaeus-Merzbacher Disease. Harris also published a book, “Lanesboro, Minnesota,” which explores the rich past, beautiful places and inspiring people of a truly unique and charming Bluff Country town. Harris is a graduate of Bethel College and Seminary, a former pastor, teacher and innkeeper with over 20 years of experience in nonprofit communications.
