Nicole Kirchner, of Legacies. visited Spring Valley to explain her agency, on the recommendation of Cathy Enerson, EDA Director. This website explains Legacies. She was here to meet community members and get the word out that Legacies is looking for people to work with mostly children, but also adults to 65,  who have a mental health diagnosis that requires help with social skills and independent living. The agency is based in Winona and uses mostly Winona State students, so it is a long commute to work with clients in this area, thus the reason for recruiting local people who would also be connected to the community. Clients are referred by the county and there is a waiting list. Legacies is looking at the possibility of setting up a satellite office here to make it easier to get people to help.  Anyone interested should check out the website and talk to her personally. Her phone is 507-474-9110 and her email is nicolek@legaciesllc.org
